i thought it was funny my birthday gifts turned out to be very distinctive. either my friends know me too well, or i am just that exclusive. haha. any which way i'm more than grateful to be alive. perhaps i shouldn't ramble on the course of incidents on March 15, but rather summarize the appreciation towards gestures, wishes and whatnot being thrown at even a day before. i even thought it was funny that i get to somehow celebrate my birthday for two days. all because of time difference.

with that i thank you for your generosity. even the simplest happy birthday shows effort, which i believe even myself wouldn't gather up if not for a thoughtful person. not that i'm addressing myself as a thoughtful person, but it takes genuine effort to commemorate another human being. thank you.

there's only weekends left to savor the beauty of getting up late and not contemplating to attend mundane lectures. even though the days are spent more or less in the city of boredom but i've come to enjoy the familiarity of the place. not a big city yet a scenic one. the innumerable laughter i had of Aida's amicability towards plants, the numerous days i can never understand Syahira's Korean obsession, and the countless of times i bicker with Hariz, etc. - this is where i grow up.

my heart sank when i read all of the birthday cards. there's more than just printed wishes. they took the liberty to craft their own wish. mostly to say how blessed they are to have a friend like me. it's more than blissful to be appreciated for existing. to be completely honest, i don't favor twenty-two. either way, it reflects the same number. as much as daddy still thinks i'm two years old, i've grown to be more thankful with what i'm given. i'm blessed.

life is rewarding when you step back and realize that you have in any way touched another person's life. with pocketful of sincerity, there's nothing more rewarding than being loved by another.
