maybe i am

i spaced out. i did it so often it's been two consecutive days i failed to recognize my name being called at. my bad. Brittney made me realize that i'm doing worse than i thought i am. "i can see it in your eyes, dear." well it wouldn't be me if facial expression is hard to decipher. i do it subconsciously it's a damage within the parameter of newly introduced acquaintances. count me in though if you need reflexive feedback. my face has genuine and honest to God immediate reaction one can never expect. twas a good bump into with Brittney.

the walk-in wasn't pleasant. i left the english department feeling woozy with the loss of peripheral hope. i'd say it was my first time encountering such stuck-up service. she mustn't be local with her head tingling one side to another unaccustomed to the question i addressed, although unwilling to suggest that i could muster it elsewhere. do i look that foreign you quizzed my credibility? silent racism is inevitable in this ungodly world of technology so advanced. how do we measure civilization now?

i've too many questions unanswered and they're troubling my focus. my ability to fork out mystical idea to finish the drafts i have pending, pending, pending, zzz... truthfully looking forward to my arrival at home. to be wrapped with a blanket of comfort. to be pampered, spoilt by my family. my aunt is already planning an iftar with my favorite dishes served. the idea, the scene, the laughter that we'd have is highly anticipated. home is exactly where my skinny ass should be. right about now.
